Kudos! – Responsible Dad Mark Wahlberg

I’m not a fan of body art (anyone in the military is excepted) but the reason I like this story is because it is a father trying to set an example for his kids.

Former bad boy Mark Wahlberg has really turned over a new leaf, and even without this latest news deserves kudos for turning his life around. The former drug addict claims to have been in trouble with police 20 to 25 times, even serving two years in a correction house jail.

Wahlberg, 40, has four children, Ella, eight, Michael, six, Brendan, three, and Grace, two, with wife Rhea Durham. To deter his children from getting tattooed, he recently revealed that he has taken his two eldest children along to watch him suffer as he goes through the process of erasing his tattoos.

Wahlberg spoke about his inkings last month on The Late Show With David Letterman saying, “I don’t want my kids getting tattoos.”

Told it would take eight to ten laser treatments, he has required over 30 and is still in the process of getting them removed.

He continued, “I’ve taken my two older kids to the procedure so they see how painful it is and what I have to go through.”

About Susan Dench

Susan Dench is on a mission to promote personal responsibility in America. She is, as Gretchen Carlson said during Susan’s appearance with her on Fox News’ Fox & Friends, just a regular person who decided to take action. Alarmed about what she sees in government, the workplace, schools, individuals and families, Susan left her marketing business to inspire people to liberate themselves from entitlements and victim mentality to meet whatever personal goals they set. As her family will be only too happy to confirm, she is never afraid to give her opinion if asked (and usually if not asked). The author of several books, she lives on the coast of Maine with her exceedingly indulgent husband and admittedly spoiled pets in a charming 1920's house, which is in an ongoing state of loving renovation.
